Mother Nature Knows Best! Goats have been used to clear brush for thousands of years. This really isn’t anything new. However, as industrialization grew our reliance on natural means to manage our lands went by the wayside. Convenient herbicides and heavy machinery are at the forefront of how we manage our yards, our farms and more. The benefits we reaped have come with great cost!
Turn on the news or look around your property. You can see a fraction of the toll that these man-made methods have wreaked on our ecosystems. The level of invasive plant species taking over our forests, PFOAS and unsustainable farming methods are taking their toll.
Is it as dire as the media says? Who knows?! What we do know at Al’s Goats is this:
Our goats may not be able to heal the world, but they can help our community be a little greener.
